CELEBRATE National Veterinary Technicians Week (NVTW)

This is the week RAHT's should celebrate their contributions in the Animal Health field!


CAAHTT has supplied a poster to display in your workplace- so put it ip and celebrate YOU as a professional! 

Celebrating NVTW serves to:

  • Educate the public about technicians as a vital member of the animal health care team
  • Increase veterinary awareness and utilization of the RAHT
  • Reinforce the value and professionalism of RAHT's to veterinarians and to the public
  • Acknowledge veterinarians for hiring RAHT's
  • Provide an opportunity for AHT/VT’s to salute one another for excellent performance in their work
  • Generate professional pride

Ways to celebrate NVTW:

  • Plan a special lunch day with your colleagues
  • Hang your national events calendar and or a NVTW poster in a visible location so your boss and coworkers are reminded they can celebrate with you
  • Hang your diploma in the front office and wear your name tag
  • Celebrate your profession with special treats each day such as chocolates, a card, flowers
  • Wear your association T-shirt or sweatshirts to school or work
  • Make a NVTW poster including your clinic and host an open house
  • Plan a coloring contest
  • Plan a pooch parade for your clients or hang a photo display
  • Schedule a talk at a local school or 4-H group
  • Set up displays at the mall, school, library, humane society
  • Contact radio, newspapers or television and arrange for an interview
  • Attend a CE seminar, or organize a local chapter meeting with the technicians in your area
  • Order promotional balloons, pins, magnets, coloring books, pens, pencils, etc.
  • Tell your friends and family about your profession
  • Call a classmate and reminisce
